Get intentional about the type of gathering and impact you're wanting to produce. Once you have a blueprint for your event, you can fill out our speaking form. 2. Do you have any follow-up materials to the book, Season of Life?

Due to the nature of coaching -- that it comes from the inside out -- Joe believes it is hard to bring about change from a booklet or supplemental piece of material.  At present, BMO does not produce a follow-up to Season of Life.  Joe does, however, provide supplemental and related content during his speaking appearances and coach's clinics.

If you have created any follow-up materials, we would be very interested in seeing them and possibly providing them to others via this website. You can e-mail copies of your material or send them to our mailing address.

3. What types of topics does Joe speak on?

Joe addresses the critical need to help young boys and damaged men become strategic men.  This is divided into three specialized areas of building boys into men through sports, addressing child advocacy issues and social/domestic issues. More information is provided on the about us page and also in the Steps to Personal, Communal and Social Transformation document.

4. What kind of things could we do to promote Joe and Building Men & Women for Others in our community? How can we make the most out of Joe coming to our community?

  • To adequately prepare and make the greatest impact, it is necessary for civic, corporate, philanthropic educational and religious leaders to come together. These individuals might include coaches, athletic directors, teachers, public and private school administrators.  Outside of the organization, YMCA, recreational sports program directors and social service professionals would also be ideal resources.
  • Once these individuals have been identified and briefed, use Season of Life as a strategic tool and rallying point; the book is a non-judgmental, non-threatening tool that cuts across religions, socio-economic levels and races.
  • Identify and appoint individuals as "point men".  These people will be contacts for the key groups of people who will attend your event.  They should be familiar with Building Men & Women for Others, and our principles. Point men are individuals which have had a life-impacting experience through Season of Life and/or Building Men & Women for Others and are willing to share this experience with others.
  • Consider scholarships for inner-city kids, coaches or other individuals that may not be able to afford to attend the event.
  • Contact media, sports editors and other key publicity outlets about your event. Get them a copy of Season of Life.
  • Lastly, network with other individuals, groups and organizations to announce your event and even partner with them to produce a larger event or raise attendance. Some models include a charge per ticket or having a group sponsor the event.
